The Century Literary Club was founded on 22 November 1890 at Indiana University in Century Hall in the Old College Building. The object of the “Century,” as it was nicknamed, was to promote literary and social culture for non-fraternity, male students of the university. In 1954, the Indiana University School of Education partnered with the Prasan Mitr College of Education in Bangkok and the Thai Ministry of Education to develop programs in teacher education in Thailand.
